National Cat Day

What is not to love about cats?  They are there for you after a rough day at work.  They will always come running when they hear their name.  They love belly rubs…wait.

Ok maybe cats aren’t the most compassionate animals.  Maybe they aren’t the most loyal.  And maybe they aren’t the best for giving belly rubs unless you enjoy the thrill of getting skin grafts.

For whatever the reason, we still love our fluffy feline companions and they love us for our warm laptop keyboards.  A symbiotic relationship.

So let’s honor our hairballs goofballs on National Cat Day by showing off cat-related stuff for mobile.

Assuming that you are less than 30 years old you have probably heard and seen Nyan Cat.

Maybe you have watched Nyan Cat for ten whole hours on a single YouTube video.  Maybe you’re the type of person who wants to watch Nyan Cat for even longer.

If you are infatuated with the cherry Pop-Tart cat that is….radiating… a never-ending rainbow here is the wallpaper for you.

On the Google Play Store there is a live wallpaper that is a nonstop loop of Nyan Cat.  You’re welcome.

Let’s add another famous cat to our National Cat Day thread.  As a 24-year-old male I cannot believe I’m about to say this, but it would not be a cat day without Hello Kitty.

IF I had to get one…emphasis on “if”

Why should humans get the benefit of playing with mobile devices?  Maybe felines want to have fun too.  Well they can!

Nestlé Purina…yes the real company… actually has an app for your cat on iPad, iPhone, and Android.  It is called, “Cat Fishing 2” and is to help your cat keep its hunting skills sharp during the winter.

Ok I completely made that last bit up, but it is neat that cats can interact with mobile devices and much as we do.

Your cat will now be on the same cognitive level as Jerry Smith!

And finally, a CAT[erpillar] smartphone.  I guess it technically counts as being cat-related for National Cat Day.
