This past weekend Coachella 2016 kicked off in Indio, CA.  Being one of the most popular music venues in the world it will certainly net you some social media publicity whether you are an artist, a devout fan or maybe even if you are a little mobile blog.

One way fans were able to express their interest of all-things-Coachella was by tweeting about it on Twitter.  It is only fitting that one of the worlds’ most popular social media networks shared some of its data about the world renown festival.

Let us look at some of the info.

During the first weekend there were a total of 3.8 million tweets referencing Coachella 2016.  This included Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Out of those 3.8 million tweets, six artists stood out from the rest of the pack as being the “Most Tweeted About Performers”.  Halsey earned the top spot out of everyone and the following five are seen in the image below.

The artists had their fair share of things to say about the sold-out music festival.  Either they were thanking their co-performers or the fans for attending the event.

Twitter even revealed the top ten most-used emojis during the Coachella weekend.  The palm tree came up number one.

Twitter is gearing up for round two this coming weekend and is sure to release more data about the event.

To stay up-to-date with Coachella 2016 on Twitter going into its final weekend you can follow the official hashtag #Coachella or one of the two official accounts (@TwitterMusic and @Coachella).
